Developer Advocate

The role

We’re hiring a developer advocate to help developers understand and use Orthogonal. You’ll write documentation, build examples and demos, answer technical questions, and bring developer feedback back to the product team. This is a full-time, in-person role in San Francisco.

What you'll do

  • Write clear documentation and guides for Orthogonal’s SDK, MCP, and CLI
  • Build example projects that developers can run and adapt
  • Help developers troubleshoot integrations and answer technical questions
  • Create demos, tutorials, and technical talks
  • Learn where developers get stuck and turn that feedback into product changes
  • Participate in developer communities and events

Who you are

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, developer relations, or technical education
  • You’ve built software and can explain technical ideas clearly
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience with APIs and at least one modern programming language
  • Comfortable reading code, debugging integrations, and building small applications
  • Enjoy working directly with developers and helping them solve problems
  • Comfortable working closely with a small team and changing priorities

Nice to have

  • Developer relations, technical writing, or developer support experience
  • Experience with API platforms, developer tools, or AI agents
  • Open source contributions or experience maintaining a developer community
  • Experience speaking at meetups or conferences
