About Orthogonal

Orthogonal (YC W26) is building the infrastructure layer for AI agents to discover, access, and pay for APIs. We're starting with go-to-market, the APIs that power outbound, enrichment, and growth. We're two technical cofounders in San Francisco.

The Role

You'll work directly with both founders on real product features from day one. Our stack is Next.js and Postgres. You'll ship code that users see immediately. We use AI tools heavily to build, you should be comfortable doing the same.

What you'll do

• Build new API integrations and platform features
• Work across the stack: frontend, backend, and database
• Help design and implement developer-facing tools (SDK, CLI, MCP server)
• Fix bugs and improve reliability
• Ship to production regularly
• Use AI tools as part of your daily workflow to build, debug, and iterate

Who you are

• Understand how web apps work (frontend, backend, databases, APIs)
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to build and ship
• Enough technical intuition to guide AI toward the right solution
• Curious and scrappy, background matters less than what you can do
• Self-motivated, small team, real responsibility from day one

Nice to have

• Contributed to open source projects
• Built and shipped side projects
• Familiar with Next.js, SQL/Postgres
• Interest in API design and developer tooling
