Frontend Engineer

The role
We’re hiring a frontend engineer to build Orthogonal’s web product. You’ll work on the dashboard, chat, endpoint discovery, and integration workflows using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. You’ll work directly with the founders, designers, and users. This is a full-time, in-person role in San Francisco.
What you'll do
- Build and ship product features with Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Turn product designs into responsive, accessible interfaces
- Improve chat, endpoint discovery, billing, and integration workflows
- Build reusable components and maintain the design system
- Improve front-end performance, testing, and reliability
- Talk with users and turn their feedback into product changes
Who you are
- 3+ years of professional front-end engineering experience
- Strong experience building production React applications
- Comfortable with TypeScript, modern CSS, and browser APIs
- Attention to interaction details, accessibility, and responsive behavior
- Experience consuming APIs and handling asynchronous application state
- Able to own features from an initial idea through production
- Comfortable working closely with a small team and changing priorities
Nice to have
- Experience with developer tools, API products, or data-heavy interfaces
- Experience building chat or streaming interfaces
- Experience with design systems and visual regression testing
- Full-stack experience with Node.js and Postgres
