Pricing

How Orthogonal pricing works

Pay per call

You pay only for what you use. No subscriptions or minimums.

Tools use fixed or usage-based prices, shown in the catalog and returned by search. For a fixed-price tool, the listed price is the cost of one call:

{
"api": "apollo",
"path": "/v1/people/match",
"price": 0.03,
"description": "Enrich a person by email"
}

Pricing Tiers

These examples illustrate price ranges, not subscription plans. Check the catalog for current prices. For usage-based tools, request a quote with your inputs before running a call.

TierPrice RangeExamples
Basic$0.001 - $0.01Simple lookups and lightweight searches
Standard$0.01 - $0.10Email discovery and contact enrichment

Who pays

Every call is paid one of four ways.

PayerHow
Your account’s creditsPrepaid. Works over MCP, the CLI and your code with an API key. Add funds.
Your organizationMembers connect to https://www.orthogonal.com/org and sign in; the organization picked at sign-in pays. Organization API keys bill it too. See MCP setup.
The agent’s own accountThe agent signs itself up with an email code and a phone check, and gets a one-time $1 starter credit (one per phone number). Give it https://www.orthogonal.com/agent-signup.md.
A wallet, no accountPay per call over x402 (/pay), MPP (/mpp) or Nanopayments (/np). See Payments.

To see what is left, run orth balance. It shows the credits of whoever the key bills: your account for a personal key, the organization’s shared credits for an organization key. Over an MCP sign-in, ask your agent: the account tool returns the balance and who pays for calls.

Caps and allowed APIs keep an agent within budget. See Spend limits.

Every API response includes the cost:
