List your API

Sell your API on Orthogonal: create a seller organization, request your listing, set it up with Orth, then get paid for its calls.

Listed on Orthogonal, your API is found in the catalog, shows its prices and is called with one Orthogonal key. You don’t build anything new: Orth, Orthogonal’s onboarding agent, reads your docs and drafts the listing, and you make the decisions.

Where you are

Your team’s API

  • Your team owns the API, its earnings, and its payouts.
  • Team admins request the listing, confirm its setup, and submit it for final approval.
  • Members can follow submission progress. Financial settings remain available to admins only.
  • Buying stays available while your team sets up and sells its API.
  • A team can list more than one API, and you can list from every team you administer.

Before you start

  • An Orthogonal account. Create one if you don’t have one yet.
  • Your API’s public documentation URL.
  • The https:// address your API is served from.
  • An API key you issue for Orthogonal. Orthogonal sends it with every call to your API, and only you add it.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create your seller organization

    You
Open List your API from your team. Every team can request a listing. You do not need to choose an account type or create another team.
    Orthogonal
Your team can request a listing right away. Earnings and payouts become available once Orthogonal approves the request.
  2. 2

    Request review

    You
In Your listings, fill in the request: API name, company website, primary API documentation URL, up to 5 more documentation URLs (only pages your primary docs don’t link to), contact name and email (filled in from your account), and a short use case. Then click Submit request.
    Orthogonal
Orthogonal’s staff review the request. Your listings updates by itself once they decide; nothing is emailed, so check back there. If they decline it, their note says why, and you can edit the request and resubmit it.
  3. 3

    Set up API

    You
Your listings becomes a chat with Orth and its progress. Answer its questions, and approve or deny the calls it asks to run, such as ones that may change data or cost money. Check the base URL, the endpoints and their prices, change what you need, then click Confirm details & pricing. Add your API key with Add credential securely: it goes straight to secure storage, never through the chat.
    Orthogonal
Orth starts by itself once the request is approved. It reads your docs and drafts the setup: the base URL, where the key goes, the endpoints and a price for each. It keeps working when you close the page, and asks you when it needs an answer.
  4. 4

    Test API

    You
Review the test values Orth prepared, fill any gaps it highlights, then click Run endpoint checks (the button shows how many).
    Orthogonal
The checks make one real call to every endpoint. Orth reviews the results with you and writes the final report.
  5. 5

    Final review

    You
Read the final report, then click Submit to Orthogonal staff. To change something before the review, Withdraw submission takes it back.
    Orthogonal
Orthogonal’s staff review the tested API and its report. If they ask for changes, their note shows in your workspace; make them with Orth and submit again. If they decline it, reply to Orthogonal at founders@orthogonal.com to continue.
  6. 6

    Go live

    You
Set up payouts at Earnings and payouts (see Getting paid).
    Orthogonal
Orthogonal approves the API and it appears in Your listings. Buyers find it in the catalog once Orthogonal lists it, after verifying it.

Prices

You set what you earn per call for each endpoint, in USD, or make it free. Orth drafts a price for each endpoint from your docs, and you can change any of them before you confirm.

Buyers pay your price plus Orthogonal’s fee. Your workspace shows the fee once Orthogonal approves your request. Listing is free, with no monthly minimum.

Getting paid

Earnings go to your seller organization. An admin connects a bank account through Stripe at Earnings and payouts; the same page shows what the organization has earned and been paid.

Payouts start on the 15th of each month (UTC), for earnings up to the end of the previous month. Less than $1 rolls over to the next month. Over MCP, ask your agent “What is our organization owed on Orthogonal?”; it answers with the payouts tool.

Two ways to list

Both drive the same run, so you can start in one and continue in the other: the dashboard shows a run your agent started, and the other way round. Your seller organization is created in the dashboard either way.

Everything happens in Your listings: the request until Orthogonal approves it, then the chat with Orth and its progress. The buttons, in order:

  1. Submit request
  2. Confirm details & pricing
  3. Add credential securely
  4. Run endpoint checks
  5. Submit to Orthogonal staff

You can close the page at any time. Orth keeps working, and if it pauses, Continue onboarding picks up where it stopped.

What is yours

Orth decides the base URL and prices itself, confirms the setup and runs the checks, writes included, and says what it chose in the chat and its final report. Neither Orth nor the onboarding steps your agent follows ask you anything: only the key and the submit wait for you. Change any choice by replying, with the buttons above, or with these tools.

FAQ

Who can request a listing?

An admin of a seller organization. Anyone with an Orthogonal account can create one in Your listings. Orthogonal reviews every request before setup starts.

How long does the review take?

Orthogonal reviews requests as they arrive. Your listings updates by itself once the request is decided; nothing is emailed, so check back there.

Can I list a second API?

Yes. Each API starts with its own request, which Orthogonal reviews. Your listings follows a team’s newest request; for another API on the same team, your agent can make the request over MCP with create_request, or you can list it from another team.

Can teammates help?

Yes. With your seller organization active, open Team and roles in the sidebar and choose Invite someone. Its admins take the listing’s steps: requesting, confirming, submitting and setting up payouts.

Where do I see progress?

In Your listings: the request until Orthogonal approves it, then the chat with Orth and its progress bar (Request review, Set up API, Test API, Final review, Go live). Signed in, Where you are on this page shows it too.
